i am a free-thinker
and i could never understand the thinking of those religious extremist
having a religion and belief is always a great thing
because at the end of the day
each and everyone of them are just trying to preach us the good...

yet
at times
many happenings around the world are just trying to change my pov towards religion
especially after the 911 incident
which the Talibans had made their way to all headlines in every country's newspapers
recently
a group of korean christian volunteers were captured by the Taliban in Afghanistan
2 were killed because the Afghan government failed to meet their the terms of exchanging the hostages with Taliban insurgents
and now they are threatening to kill more
well
at least compared to western government officials
the Afghan government is willing to bargain with the terrorists and show at least the effort of trying to save the hostages

the Talibans are famous for their implementation of the strictest syariah laws
and also notorious for the ill-treatment of women's rights

i just pity the koreans who were caught
i believe many has received sms about praying for them to be safe
that's the only thing we're capable of doing for now...

anyways
on a lighter note
watched the simpsons yesterday night
and glad that i don't have a dad like homer
though some of the jokes are typical and lame...
but it's a really nice show to just watch and laugh without stressing your brain too much to think about the storyline~
i especially like the part
* spider pig spider pig...does whatever a spider pig does~
hahahahahaha
