why shouldn't i live in my own world?

Saturday, August 02, 2008

after much consideration
i think it's really time for me to upgrade my ancient 2 years old PC
it's working fine with normal applications like flash...abit slow when trying to edit high resolution images in photoshop
but damn...i had to admit that it's really an ancient machine when i tried to render a 30 secs video on after effects...
it took me a total of 4 freakin hours!!!
so i told myself...stop trying to find excuses for him anymore...
it's really time for me to consider looking for some updated parts...
imagine...there isn't even PCIE or SATA slots on my system!!
omg omg....

i've roughly made out a lists of what to get within august and september
as an avid AMD fan i've always been
i've decided to stick to AMD and get myself a dual core 6000+ 3Ghz proc
teaming it up with a asus mobo which by the way...all the parts used to manufacture the mobo are enviromental friendly!
4GB OCZ Sli ready kit with a wicked design!
as for the graphic card, i was firstly considering a 8600GT since i'm not really a hard core gamer...
but thanks to hamyu and meng
they've managed to convince me that i should prepare my system for starcraft 2
and thus, a 9600GT is a must!
so since i like the brand XFX very much...and i am stupid enough to fork out the money...my graphic card is set to be a XFX 9600GT

some pictures for poison

AMD X2 6000+ 3.0Ghz

Asus Mobo

OCZ Sli Ready 2GB kit

XFX 9600GT

the idea of even thinking about it excites me!
damn..i really have to admit that retail therapy really does help!
